This long-term client came to DDI needing to internally manage the information about each hotel, along with requesting an integrated mapping functionality via MapQuest for each property. Part of this project was to incorporate the ability to display relevant “Internet Specials” for a property for those making reservations online. The custom tools our team developed and implemented allow them to manage all info about a property including location, amenities, nearby attractions and distance, as well as upload thumbnail and full-size images of the property for display on the website.

DDI installed, configured and managed the MapQuest software interface that automatically sends the address information for the property to the software and then display the resulting map within the site design--versus sending the website visitor to an external website. Our deployment also included the ability for the site visitor to quickly enter their address and get driving directions to the point of interest automatically, greatly improving the usefulness of the site.

Finding properties couldn't be easier for site visitors as we programmed options to find locations through a full list of properties grouped by state or through a clickable map of the USA. For added convenience, Internet specials are also available as a single list or within the property details page when applicable.
