As health care information continues to evolve on the Internet, DDI has emerged as one of the leading providers of web-based, next generation animation that assists in describing to patients specific diseases and procedures. By using animation, procedures are shown in a more patient-friendly way compared to more graphic videos. In addition, animation gives the user more control since VCR-like controls can be added to stop, pause and replay procedures. Using processes we’ve refined from working with numerous health clients over the last ten years, we worked closely with doctors and technical specialists to insure that each animation is correct in all aspects. Finally, the latest advances in image and file compression enable even 56k modem (narrowband) users to access and view procedure animation.
These examples are from the website and related animation that we developed for EYES.COM, owned by the Shepherd Eye Centers, based in Las Vegas, NV. The website design includes extensive use of navigation that enables website visitors to find a wide range of information, including detailed FAQs about specific procedures. In addition, patient testimonials, staff bios and other information is available, making it easier for potential patients to make more informed decisions about a wide range of eye procedures.
We also provided this client with professional onsite photography services, including detailed photography of a typical procedure and general staff and facility photos. This photography can been seen throughout the website.
